The Performer Guides page features library materials for individual instruments and vocalists. Tabs are used to designate instrument families; individual instruments are in the drop-down menus below each tab. Percussion, piano, and voice have their own tabs. You can use this guide to find call number ranges for browsing for repertoire, recommended books, journals, and exercises, etudes, and excerpts.
Over the summer, the Jean and Alexander Heard Libraries migrated to a new, state-of-the-art library catalog. The new library catalog allows you to search for physical materials in the collections (like books, scores, and audiovisual recordings), but also provides access to journal and newspaper articles, book chapters, reviews, and more by simultaneously searching a wide variety of open access repositories and many (but not all) of the subscription databases provided by the Heard Libraries. You can learn more about the library catalog here.
