For Your Resume...

Your position in the Music Library can demonstrate valuable skills to future employers. We hope that you will ask your supervisor for a recommendation when searching for your next position. Below are some text suggestions for describing this position on your resume:

Title: Student Assistant – Anne Potter Wilson Music Library, Vanderbilt University

Job Responsibilities: staffing service desk; assisting library users with materials and equipment; maintaining and providing assistance in evaluating physical collections; basic audio editing and local database assistance; special projects as assigned.

If you plan on formatting your resume that extracts tech skills, here are some to include:

Experience using Ex Libris's Alma (library automated system)
Familiar with Worldcat (union catalog for libraries)
Proficient (or however you would describe your skills) with Microsoft Office Suite
