  • It is expected that you show up on time. If you are running late or are going to miss a shift due to illness or emergency, please post to the Teams channel.
  • For last-minute emergencies, call the Main Service Desk (615-322-2800) and ask for a supervisor. Please add this number to your contacts. 

How to Request a Shift Substitute

How to request a sub:

There are two important steps to requesting a substitute - Be sure to do BOTH steps.

1. Post to Teams to see if anyone will trade shifts with you or take the extra shift. The post should include the date and time of the requested shift. Please be as responsible as possible in requesting shift coverage in advance and in a timely manner.

2. Fill out a sub request form, located by the supervisors desk, and post on the bulletin board (Image below). When someone agrees to cover for you they will complete the second half of the form and give the form to a supervisor.

You are responsible for finding someone to cover your shift. If no one takes your shift, discuss it with your supervisor. Please be cooperative with your fellow workers and volunteer to pick up or swap shifts when you can. People will remember and will help out when you need someone to cover for you!
