Doctor of Education (Ed.D) Research (LPO, LLO): Finding Sources by Subject

This guide consists of a collection of resources frequently used by Ed.D Students.

Finding Resources by Subject Area

Your project scope will determine where you go to do your research (databases & websites) and what kind of sources you will consult (books, articles, white papers, dissertations, etc.). For example, if you are working with a non-profit organization for your capstone project, your research strategy will include looking at scholarship in the social sciences (broadly), as well as business databases and Google Scholar. This is because there isn't one single database that includes all of the scholarship about non-profit organizations, so you have to explore a bit to find the best sources. Most capstone projects will require searching using a variety of tools. Remember, your research will be a journey. If you have questions along the way, I'm here to help!

Each page linked below is a list of resources organized by some of the most common broad subject categories. Click on the slides below to explore the library tools available and see if the recommended databases and resources have scholarship relevant to your project!
