Purpose of the Test Collection
The purpose of the Peabody Library Test Collection is to serve the classroom and teaching needs of Vanderbilt faculty .
Finding Test Materials
All tests can be located through Vanderbilt Libraries' online catalog, ACORN. The most efficient way to find tests, aside from doing a title search, is to use the Advanced Keyword Search in Acorn.
Helpful Tips for Advanced Searching:
- Build a search with keywords such as "Toddler" and "Cognitive"
- Limit the Type to "Tests"
- Set location to "Currctr"
Checking Out materials from the Test Collection

Access to the test collection is limited to qualified faculty or graduate students under direct faculty supervision due to the ethical and legal requirements stated by test publishers. It is essential that the use of the test collection be limited to these constituents in order to maintain the validity of the tests. The collection is maintained in locked files. Please make arrangements with Lara Beth Lehman to retrieve testing materials, if Lara Beth is unavailable, please ask for help at the Service Desk. Lara Beth's office is located in room 309AA of Peabody Library. You can reach her at (615) 322-8226 or send her an email.
Authorized users must present a valid VU ID card for check-out.
