Reporting Library Instruction Statistics

Checking your LibGuides statistics is also an important way to track the impact of your teaching. Follow the instructions in the link above to generate and view reports on page views, guide views, asset reports, and more.

Description

Advance the university’s educational mission by providing teaching and learning opportunities on digital, information, and other literacies, educational technologies, and critical research skills at different scales and modalities. Example teaching and learning activities include: 

  • Teach course-related and course integrated classes, as requested, and offer course integrated presentations to instructional faculty 
  • Create and develop instructional materials such as Research Guides, tutorials, and videos 
  • Engage in conversations and learning opportunities related to teaching and learning with colleagues across campus (e.g., take part in the Center for Teaching's learning communities) 
  • Develop co-curricular workshops for both broad and focused audiences, preferably in partnership with another campus group or program 
  • Measure and evaluate and modify these efforts

Embedded Librarians

Being an embedded librarian in the CMS is a great way to provide more consistent and personalized assistance for students. See the link below for instructions on adding a Subject Librarian to Brightspace. 

We also have a "Liaison Sandbox" organization in Brightspace for you to practice embedding things in Brightspace. Please let Melissa Mallon know if you need to be added to this group.
