Subject Librarian Toolkit

Identify and develop outreach and engagement events that are aligned with campus strategic initiatives. These events might include use of traditional and non-traditional library collections, unique materials and/or spaces or an area of knowledge expertise. Examples include: 

• Stay current with campus-wide initiatives and departmental priorities; coordinate library programing aligned with those initiatives and priorities (e.g. Immersion, Campus Connectors Program) 
• Develop relationships with campus co-curricular partners, attending their programming and collaborating on outreach efforts (e.g. the Writing Studio, Office of Immersion, Career Services) 
• Coordinate or plan events to engage your departments, majors, and area of study (e.g. design thinking competitions, open houses, author receptions, etc.), preferably in coordination with a campus partner
