Law Library 101: Home

An introduction to the law library, designed to help new Vanderbilt students succeed in their use of the law library and to succeed in law school study.

Library Basics

Library Basics:

Learn about library access and use. Find a place for quiet study or meet with your group in a library study room.

Student ID:

Your student ID is your library card to check out books, access other campus libraries, and to access the law school building when the building is closed to the public. Typically, the building is closed to the public on weekdays after 6:30 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays.

The library is open to the public Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Do not leave valuables unattended. Please report problems to the Service Desk.

Books, Materials, and Equipment:

Need to know what you have checked out or renew your items? Login to My Account.

Can't find a book you are looking for? Submit a purchase request [login with VUNet ID], or use Interlibrary Loan.

The library offers students equipment for loan and use. Find out about loan policies.
