Our equipment is always available for lab use during regular VRC hours. Some equipment may be borrowed by History of Art faculty and students.
Google Cardboard
Google Cardboard headsets allow you to view images, video, and immersive environments in 3-D. Great for viewing architecture and sculpture and touring museums! All you need is a smart phone and apps of your choosing.
Look for the logo on Youtube videos and other compatible media.
3-D and Virtual Reality Software
- SketchfabFind and share 3-D models.
- MeshLabSoftware for processing raw data produced by 3D digitization tools/devices and for preparing models for 3D printing.
- CloudCompare3D point cloud and mesh processing software, used to compare 3D models.
- MeshmixerTools for processing data from 3D scanning and photogrammetry, and for preparing models for printing.
- BlenderOpen-source tool for 3D creation, supporting modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing, and motion tracking.
