Library Catalog

Library Catalog is the library's "everything" catalog -- it searches our whole collection, including the Vanderbilt TV Archives. Library Catalog is a subset of Library Catalog that searches mainly books and periodicals. When you're looking for a book, use the VU Collections choice in the menu at the top of the page:

Searching the Catalog

Step 1: Start your search process by brainstorming a list of keywords that describe the main concepts of your topic or question.

Step 2: Use these keywords for your initial searches.

Step 3: Use the Subject links in the Library Catalog record to narrow your search.

Step 4: You may also want to try a "starts with" "in subject" search in Library Catalog with your keywords.
