Get Set up for Success

  1. Set up your ORCID Account : https://orcid.org/register
    1. Use a personal email address, not a VU or VUMC one
    2. ORCID will be useful your entire career

  1. Create an UpToDate Account so you can use the mobile app
    1. Disconnect/Log out of the VPN or Pulse Secure if you are using either of them
    2. Go to http://www.library.vanderbilt.edu/eres?id=1512 
    3. Use you VU ID and password to login into the Center for Knowledge Management login in screen  *It might also just take you to UpToDate and say Medical Center at top right of page*   
    4. Click the register button (top right) to create an account using your Vanderbilt email address
    5. You will then receive and email and can download the app and login in with your new account.

  1. Create an Lexicomp account so you can use the mobile app (do this on your computer not phone)
    1. Go to http://www.lexi.com/account/create/
    2. Register with your Vanderbilt email address
    3. Log into the account you just created, scroll down to the Add a Subscription by Code
    4. Enter the Authorization Code: go to Lexicomop and code available to download via Mobile App link
      1. see PDF instructions if you are having any trouble
    5. Immediately go check your Vanderbilt email for the 5-character PIN
    6. Go back to Lexicomp account page & Enter the PIN into the Verify PIN field, Click Verify
    7. Click Finish and now you can get the app through your App store and login in with your new account
