Getting Started with GIS

Check out the GIS Tutorial workbook from the Peabody Library!

Online:
Use an online training course from ESRI. Start with the basics in 'Learning GIS Desktop' or Choose a course from the website. Once you decide to take a course, simply request a keycode for it and you will recieve an email with a code that will give you free access to that course.
In Person:
Contact Rick Stringer-Hye or Beth Koontz to schedule an appointment and take advantage of hands on training for GIS in the Library.
GIS Services at Vanderbilt
The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) service in the Vanderbilt Library connects students, faculty, and staff with GIS data, services, and information. Additionally, we are a Census Information Center and help connect our community to U.S. Census Data.
