The ethical guidelines in place today were primarily a response to past abuses in clinical research. Various ethical guidelines were developed in the 20th century in response to such studies. A small collection of books is listed on this page to help guide your exploration into Clinical Research Ethics--one general clinical research ethics book (The Oxford Textbook of Clinical Research Ethics), and several books dealing with specific ethics cases.
If you are a VUMC employee, your VU library access may have changed.
