Vanderbilt Libraries Alumni Services

Once you complete your program at Vanderbilt University, you will continue to have access to a variety of library services including access to select databases, a library borrowing card, and help from your friendly librarians. Check out the resources available by clicking the links below.

Use Your State & Local Libraries!

Though you have access to a borrowing card through Vanderbilt Libraries, you may find that your best option for checking out books is your local public library! Be sure to look for key services on their website such as e-book borrowing through platforms like Overdrive and Interlibrary Loan Services. State libraries often provide access to select databases and other resources as well. If you ever have questions, most libraries have librarians on staff to assist you!

WorldCat

You can look up books, dissertations, manuscripts, media and more using the World Catalog (WorldCat). This global catalog will tell you what libraries worldwide have copies of the items. You can use your local library's Interlibrary Loan Services to request the materials you need, if they don't have the item in their collection.

Note: Some libraries have fees associated with using ILL Services, and not all libraries offer ILL Services. You will want to contact your local library to confirm.
