Acquisitions and Eresources Team Goals

2018 Acquisitions and E-Resources Team Goals

  1. Migrate acquisitions and access workflow to Alma, the new ILS system by July 2018
    • Develop and document new departmental policies and workflows based on Alma functionality.
    • Provide comprehensive staff training in all areas of Alma Acquisitions and Electronic Resources.
    • Foster an environment of learning and engagement with Alma.  
    • Identify and correct legacy data issues in preparation for the move to Alma. Conduct post-migration data cleanup.
    • Explore options for integrating Alma with SkyVU.
  1. Investigate the feasibility of generating the Database A-Z list from Alma and develop proof of concept by May 2018.
  1. Collaborate with other library stakeholders to revise and document licensing best practices and workflows by September 2018.
  1. Develop an e-resources team infrastructure and employee foundations to achieve clear and efficient work processes.
