Usage statistics are stored in multiple places, all of which are available to library staff. This spreadsheet will help you locate where to start looking for usage statistics. It is a work in progress.
- Alma - details to come soon.
- Ebsco Usage Consolidation --- the library subscribes to a COUNTER usage statistics collection service for over 40 platforms (e.g., ScienceDirect, Highwire) which is integrated into our subscription cost data in the Ebsconet renewal and when searching individual titles. As titles transfer to and away from publishers, there can be ambiguity, so if usage seems odd, do not hesitate to ask about it. Reports by publisher are available in Ebscohost. Login using your VUNetID. Click on Reports & Statistics, then Usage Consolidation Reports.
- If you do not already have an Ebsconet user account, ask Chris Waldrop to create one.
- See the PowerPoint presentation on how to lookup stats in Ebsconet Usage in G:\Everyone\Usage Statistics\Usage Statistics or in Sharepoint.
- View the brief Ebsco video on how to look up reports or individual usage by title. Begin at the 8:50 minute mark, unless you are interested in the gory details.
- View the more in-depth Ebsco recorded training here. Begin at the 25 minute mark for viewing reports and individual title usage.
- G Drive --- see G:\Everyone\Usage Statistics\Usage Statistics for annual stats exported from Ebsconet, UStat and other provider platforms. May or may not be COUNTER compliant.
- ERES - Usage on clicks by month from the Heard Database list are available in G:\Everyone\Use Statistics\ERES.
