Workshop Abstract: Sharing and communicating technical information in a meaningful way can be a challenge. In this workshop, we will discuss how to use the narrative structures of storytelling to communicate your research in a way that will resonate with audiences.

Workshop Learning Outcomes

  • Understand how narrative can be used to improve information retention  
  • Translate a research question into a ‘who done it?’ narrative style  
  • Learn how to give a 2-minute elevator pitch for their research  
  • Review the components of a successful research poster
