What is the Edible Books Festival?
Join us for the Edible Books Festival where the worlds of books and food collide in creative and delicious ways. Create an edible work of art inspired by your favorite book or author. Let your imagination run free! Have fun with puns, or create something in the shape of a book. Draw inspiration from the Vanderbilt Libraries' prior Edible Books Festival entries and the International Edible Books Festival.
Entries may be made from anything that is edible (cake, bread, crackers, gelatin, fruit, vegetables, candy, etc.) as long as it can be displayed for a few hours without melting or spoiling.
Participation is open to all members of the Vanderbilt community.
The 2025 Edible Books Festival is sponsored by the Dare to Read Collective, a cross-campus organization that includes the Jean & Alexander Heard Libraries; the Margaret Cuninggim Women's Center; Peabody College's Department of Teaching and Learning; Peabody College's Office of Student Life; Office of LGBTQI Life; and the Student Center for Belonging and Communities.
