• Use OR to search for related terms & expand your search
  • example; McCarthy OR McCarthyism

• Use * to truncate a word & return all possible endings
  • example: historic* (will return historic, historical, historicism)

• Use ? for internal truncation of a word
  • example: wom?n (will return woman, women)
