Contains ESG scores; formerly known as ASSET4. Users must register for a personal account, which will be reset each semester. It is available to authorized users from Vanderbilt University for non-commercial, academic research. Download limit of 150 pages per day, reset daily at midnight local time.

ESG data available in company profiles and via the TRUVALUE SASB ESG screening. Any current Vanderbilt student, faculty or staff member can access FactSet for academic and non-commercial use. Users must initially register for a personal account, which can take up to 7 days to be processed. For faster access, FactSet is available on the computers in the Walker Management Library- no personal account needed.

ESG background

Naming conventions for Sustainability Reports vary. A Harvard Law School article (2021) found 18 distinct ways in which companies titled their reports. “Sustainability” (43%) was the most commonly used term in report titles, while “CSR” (24%) and “ESG” (23%) were further behind. The average length of a 2021 Sustainability Report was 70 pages.
