What if I miss a publisher's deadline to have my article published as open access?

Some publishers allow for free retroactive changes to open access during limited periods. The library encourages authors to select the OA option at the point of acceptance as there is no guarantee that we can transition it to OA later without the author paying a fee.

A Creative Commons (CC) license provides for the free distribution, usually with attribution to the author, of a copyright protected work.
