What is findit@VU?

 

 


Findit@VU is Vanderbilt's OpenURL linking system that is used widely within library resources to connect users from citations to the full-text article.

OpenURL works by linking a user from a source (database) through a link resolver to a target (article). A source is the user's starting point, for example, an Abstract and Index database. The link resolver is a piece of software that sits between the source and the target.

There is no need to download anything to use find it @ VU. Just look for the gold and black find it @ VU button  within research databases and click it to access the resource.

Note that findit@VU works with Google Scholar although there is no colorful button present but rather just a text Findit@VU link (see screenshot below).
