Information to Share with Patrons

 

Patrons can use their library accounts to perform many different tasks: renew items, check due dates, request items, etc.

 

 

Library users may sign in to their library account on the Library homepage using their VUNet ID (Students, Staff, Faculty, Alumni) or Non VUNet ID (Other users) to: 

  • View items charged (i.e. checked-out or borrowed) to their account

  • Request renewals (extensions of the loan period) for items charged to their account

  • View items on hold for their account

  • View fines for overdue items that have not yet been returned

  • View bills for overdue items that have been returned or items not returned within a reasonable period of time (typically more than 55 days)

  • View Interlibrary Loan requests and checkouts (if we don't have it, we can purchase it or get it from another library; more about Interlibrary Loan here)

  • Sign up for email alerts when items they are interested in are added to the library's collection.

Once signed in, faculty members may request that any non-reference item be delivered to their faculty mailbox by using "Faculty Delivery" button for items found in the catalog.
