What is Resource Sharing Services?  (formerly: InterLibrary Loan)

  • a free service for requesting materials not available at Vanderbilt libraries, including books and journal articles

How long does it take?

  • in general, articles are delivered electronically and typically arrive within a week. 
  • single chapters should arrive via email in a few days. 
  • print requests may take 2-3 weeks.

How do I submit a request?

  • login to your account and select a request form

  • select Subject

Books on a Place
1.  To search for a place, enter the city and state.  Try another search and replace the city with the county.

 

2. To search for the history of a place, enter the town and state and the keyword 'history'.  Try another search with the county and state and the keyword 'history'.  (Books may include discussions on economic history.)
