Keywords for Searching
Developing keywords for your artist and album should include the artist name or group name and the album name. You should also think deeper about your topic and include context around the artist/group and album. Having keywords and search terms that go beyond just the artist and album will help you find scholarly sources because chances are there may not be a scholarly source written about a popular artist. You may have better luck finding a scholarly source surrounding a historical event or political movement.
Use the concept map below with your topic or research question in the center bubble and include your keywords in the outer bubbles. You will use these keywords when you search the databases, library catalog, and Google Scholar.
