Zome Design and Build Competition

What is the competition?

The Zome Design and Build Competition is sponsored by the Science and Engineering Library to coincide with National Engineering Week. Each team (up to four students, all currently enrolled Vanderbilt students are welcome) will build a design along the theme of CITIES OF THE FUTURE.

  • Registration begins January 31, 2020 at the S&E Library! 
  • Each team will have four hours to build a design from a set of Zometools (258 struts of various lengths and 100 nodes). In addition to a design, the team will explain in writing (a paragraph up to 200 words), what inspired the particular design.  There will be a team of judges drawn from the Vanderbilt community.
  • Cool prizes awarded!
  • A practice set of Zometools will be available for checkout at the S&E Library.
