Visual Resources Center: 3D and Virtual Reality Guide

The Vanderbilt University Visual Resources Center is located in Cohen Hall 134 and is your source for finding and properly using high-quality images resources for your papers, presentations, and projects.

VRC Resources

  • Alienware desktop computer (Loaded with Adobe Creative Cloud, Agisoft Photoscan Professional, and Zbrush)
  • Dell laptop (Loaded with Agisoft Photoscan and NextEngine Scan Studio for use with department's 3-D scanner)
  • Epson XL 10000 flatbed scanner (Scans materials up to 11"x17")
  • Google Cardboard headsets
  • Nikon D5300 DSLR camera with accessories

Our equipment is always available for lab use during regular VRC hours. Some equipment may be borrowed by History of Art faculty and students.

Google Cardboard

Google Cardboard headsets allow you to view images, video, and immersive environments in 3-D. Great for viewing architecture and sculpture and touring museums! All you need is a smart phone and apps of your choosing. 

Look for the logo on Youtube videos and other compatible media.
