Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law

This guide is designed to assist staff members and editors affiliated with the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law in locating sources via Vanderbilt collections, the web, and beyond.  Though some of the resources and strategies discussed here apply to students supporting any law journal, the guide also directs researchers to sources that offer more substantial coverage of international law and foreign law, and highlights unique challenges students may encounter in locating those materials.

Contact the Library

If you cannot locate a source using the methods described here, or are unsure how best to approach a particular research problem, contact the library staff for additional guidance:

  • Meredith Capps, Foreign and International Law Librarian & VJTL Library Liaison: meredith.a.capps@vanderbilt.edu
    • Fall 2023 Temporary Liaison - Keri Stophel: keri.b.stophel@vanderbilt.edu
  • Ashli Wells, Access Services Librarian and Interlibrary Loan Coordinator for the Law Library: ashli.t.wells@vanderbilt.edu
  • Law Library Reference Listserv (distributed to all law research librarians, monitored during standard business hours): law_library_librarians@list.vanderbilt.edu
  • Law Library Chat:  Monitored during standard business hours by law research librarians.
  • Non-Law Resources:  If the item you are seeking is housed in another campus library or concerns another discipline (ex. business, medicine, engineering, etc.), consider contacting a VU librarian with expertise in those collections.  The law library staff can also introduce you to librarians who can assist with interdisciplinary research.
