Curriculum Materials Center : Boardmaker, Kidspiration, and other software

The Curriculum Materials Center is a library collection used for Pre-k through 12th grade education, including special education materials. The available resources are hands-on materials, teacher edition textbooks, leveled readers, and much more.

Created for K-5 learners, Kidspiration provides an easy way to apply the proven principles of visual learning. Students build graphic organizers by combining pictures, text and spoken words to represent thoughts and information. Younger learners develop early literacy skills and more advanced students improve comprehension skills and organize their ideas for writing.

The premier tool to develop ideas & organize thinking. A tool students grade 6 to adult rely on to plan, research and complete projects successfully. With the integrated Diagram and Outline Views, they create graphic organizers, develop ideas and expand topics into writing. As a result, students gain and retain a better understanding of concepts and demonstrate knowledge, improving their performance across the curriculum.

Writing with Symbols

Writing with Symbols is a language, literacy and communication tool that makes words meaningful! As a learner types a word, phrase, sentence or story, the text and picture symbol automatically appear, making words truly meaningful to beginning readers and writers.

Writing with Symbols includes nearly 4,000 color Picture Communication Symbols and more than 4,000 color Rebus symbols.
