Welcome Graduate Students

As a Vanderbilt student you can:

  • get help with your research assignments by using Ask A Librarian.
  • borrow books and other items from any of the campus libraries (except Special Collections).
  • return most items you check out to any library.
  • find book drops outside the libraries and at the Commons Center.

We have a new "pull and hold" service for graduate students.

To request an item, log into the library catalog, and you'll see a "Pull and Hold" link in the "Get It" section of catalog records:

Click on the link to schedule a pick-up. You'll be prompted to log into your interlibrary loan account where you can complete the request. Ask us if you have any questions about this.

Welcome to the Graduate Student History Resources library guide.  The Vanderbilt Libraries have a wealth of materials that will be beneficial to anyone doing research on all aspects of history

All of the resources found within this course guide are available in one of the libraries on campus or online.

This is not intended to be a comprehensive resource - rather a good starting point for locally available resources for research and study.  Please feel free to make suggestions for additions to the various categories.
