U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) -- Search and retrieve full-text from online databases:

  • Proposed, new, and amended regulations issued by federal agencies are first published in the Federal Register (available from 1994).
    The new regulations later are arranged by subject (codified) in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) (available from 1996), a compilation of regulations currently in force. 

    • The List of CFR Sections Affected (LSA) (available from 1997) is an index of updates to regulations.
    • At Regulations.gov you can find, review, and submit comments on Federal rules open for comment. All are produced by the National Archives and Records Admin. (NARA).
