The Vanderbilt Campus

The current Vanderbilt University campus actually consists of two originally separate campuses: Vanderbilt University and George Peabody College for Teachers.  In general, the buildings east of 21st Avenue South (across from the Medical Center) were part of the Peabody College campus while those on the west side of the street formed the Vanderbilt campus.

This guide brings together many of the resources you will need to fully research the history of buildings on campus, including sources for books, manuscripts, archives, databases, and photographs.

If you need assistance, please contact Teresa, Jason, or Ramona for assistance.  We are here to help!
